The latest edition to the GSH series of granulators is the
GSH 500/1000-5-3
The GSH 500/1000-5-3 rounds off this heavy duty series and offers the newest technological standards for universal application use. The GSH series granulators are rugged, ensure safe and easy operation and are maintenance friendly. The realistic price/rate capacity ratio play an important role. These main factors combine to make the GSH 500/1000-5-3 an extremely cost effective granulator.

The cutting chamber is built in sectioned and slanted design with thick walled welded steel plating and to cope with extraordinary stress and 24 hour operation. Outboard bearings, rotor and knife mounts are oversized and are designed for maximum use. Chevron "V" cut knife configuration in conjunction with the material oriented number of rotor and stator knives ensure a universal but focused application spectrum.

The flexibility of application use in the GSH series is almost endless and can handle even the toughest types of materials such as extruder lumps, film packages, pipes, profiles, cable waste and also includes lighter applications like bottle crates, hollow parts and web scrap rolls. Pre-size reduced mono filament and metal free rubber scrap is included in the application spectrum.

The GSH series offers various designs of rotors depending on the specific application. The cutting chamber can be equipped with 2 or 3 stator knives that is material dependent. The third stator or bed knife is mounted in the rear cutting chamber and removable. This third stator knife is used when massive or thick walled materials are size reduced. Through the implementation of the third stator knife the aggressiveness of the rotor is controlled and reduces the energy consumption to prevent rotor standstill.

All granulators in the GSH series are equipped with motorized hydraulics for cutting chamber and screen access. Clam shell opening characteristics on the housing chamber allow quick and effective cleaning of the cutting chamber during colour or material change. Knife replacements are 60% quicker using the knife adjustment fixture that is included with the machine.

A wide range of options are offered to serve various types of applications. Material transport systems, metal separators, fines separators, exhaust air filter bag systems, or automatic filtering systems, conveyor belt with metal detector bridge, nip roller feeding systems for in-line applications such as film extrusion and edge trims, feeding channels for pipes and profiles, wear and tear parts.

The AMIS test facility offers numerous granulators in various sizes to perform customer material testing free of charge and without obligation.
